The first order of business for Capstone Construction was to remove the trees and shrubberies to gain access to the house for the heavy equipment that was to be needed for this renovation.
The original entry was on the left side, but the new entry will be on this side that faces the street. The new entry construction will mimic the left entry.
After the inspection of the bases, columns, and capitals, Capstone and the client agreed that new columns had to be custom-built rather than repaired. There was much to do to the structures in preparation for the arrival of the new columns. The side entry had to be shored up and repaired prior to the new columns arriving, as the roof and deck had dropped 5" due to column rot.
It's also clear from the above pictures that a great deal of stripping and repair to trim details have progressed while waiting for columns to arrive.
The plan here was to modernize this bathroom with better lighting, fixtures, flooring, and new teak vanity
Natural light wall dividers for new shower and commode area. Soaking tub and dressing area in center section.
Good lighting, sound system and TV, new quartersawn teak vanity, new flooring and relaxing soaking tub, turns this bathroom into a luxury spa!
